Salon La Rue New Years Eve Ball 2011 run by Met Parties was a total scam. Some people paid up to £100 and got none of what was advertised to be included in the price. There was a 1 hour queue to enter. The cloakroom was full. A further 30 min queue to reach the first queue. A further 1 hour queue to the 'bar' which was a guy propped up at a window sill serving watered down alcohol. Bear in mind this was our New Years Eve so we didnt really have time to spend in a queue!! No caberet, outdoor bbq as promised, no burlesque girls, no champagne reception, no canopes, no bouncy castle (just a deflated old air matress), no magician, no pillow fight. This night was a total sham and my friends were scared as there was hardly any room to move they had crammed over 500 people into a small, shabby townhouse in Soho. To top it all off some man tried to put his hand in my mates handbag as we made our way out (not long after we arrived). This company is disgusting. It promises a classy evening out but it was a shabby doorway in Soho in a very run-down house (Gerrard House)
