Cold Call Scam

I joined up with jump up media around a month ago when they called me posing as one of googles 'accredited partners' and the salesman told me they deal with all the page one allocations on google and wanted to offer me a position in the 'champagne coloured box' on the top of page one. They said i would appear there 24 hours a day 7 days a week for the flat fee of £99 plus vat. However, the first 2 weeks of my service i was nowhere to be seen, after numerous calls to my 'account manager' i was repeatedly told he was in a meeting and would call me back asap, i sent 4 emails enquiring when my company would be appearing on page 1, to no reply. Eventually i was called by them and i did appear in the sponsored ads on the right hand side of page one, however nowhere near the top of the page in the 'champagne section' as promised by their pushy salesman. I then tried to cancel the service to be told i had to give them 30 days written notice, this goes right against what the salesman told me on the phone, saying there was no contract and i was free to cancel if i wasn't happy with the service. After further research i found that this company is nothing to do with google and they offer clients a service they could provide themselves at a fraction of the price Jump Up Media are charging them. They will say absolutely anything to get you signed up initally and then make it extremely dificult for you to cancel the service and end up charging you over £100 month after month which was the case with myself. if this bunch call you, put the phone down and save yourself £100 and a lot of hassle.
